The Right Direction for Fresno
I'm Roger Bonakdar and I'm ready to fight for you...
I’m a proud father, husband, attorney, small businessman, and Fresno County native.
I am a proud graduate of Clovis Unified schools. After graduating from UC San Diego and Santa Clara School of Law, I returned home to serve as a strong legal advocate Fresno area businesses and residents.
Suffice it to say, our city is at a crossroads and we need leadership that can chart us in the right direction. That’s why I’m running for Fresno City Council.
My wife, Melissa, and I are raising our two children in northeast Fresno and hope to keep it a family friendly community for generations to come.
On the City Council, I will fight for safer neighborhoods, solve our city’s homelessness crisis, build a more vibrant Fresno economy, and deliver northeast Fresno’s fair share of resources.
I hope to earn your vote and be your voice on the Fresno City Council.

REAL SOLUTIONS FOR FRESNO
As a father of two young children, I believe that safe neighborhoods are key to family-friendly communities. That’s why I signed the Public Safety Budget Pledge and will only vote for budgets that include the hiring of new firefighters and police officers.
Fresno’s homelessness crisis is out of control. As our Councilman, I will lead the charge to strengthen our law enforcement and social services rapid response to get homeless residents off our streets.
I’ll also work collaboratively with Fresno’s nonprofit and faith community to help bolster our treatment and housing options to ensure these people are able to get back on their feet and onto productive lives.
As a small businessman, Roger knows the hurdles facing businesses at City Hall. That’s why he’ll fight to cut red tape, reduce city fees and taxes, and work to recruit major job creators to our city.
Fresno City Hall works for us, not the other way around. As our Councilman, Roger will fight to ensure northeast Fresno receives its fair share of tax dollars to maintain and improve our roads, parks, and neighborhoods.
